In this work, a twostep treatment method was designed to prepare the modified AF, and a flexible interface layer between rubber and AF was built. In the present study, composites of watersoluble polyurethane/calcium carbonate (CaCO3) were prepared from a soft segment of hydroxylterminated polybutadiene (HTPB) and polyethylene glycol (PEG, average molecular weight = 4000) with aliphatic diisocyanates. A comparative study of the mechanical performance of PP and PP/PPgM blends reinforced with carbon fibre (CF) obtained by two different moulding techniques is presented.
