Jun 01, 2020· The mass loss below 100 °C (%) was attributed to moisture while the loss up to 400 °C (7%) was due to bonded water. Arsenopyrite decomposition took place at about 440 °C while by 650 °C pyrite would have been oxidised (Marsden and House, 2006). Thus, the mass loss between 400 °C and 600 °C was likely due to the oxidation reactions.
