Important Minerals Occurring in Punjab Punjab, Pakistan
The deposits occur in the northsouth trending ridges that form the foothills of the Suleman Range, West of Dera Ghazi Khan. These deposits consist of 10 to 18 meter thick, interrelated with greenish clay and limestone of Eocene age. The deposits of gypsum also occur in the Salt Range in District of Jhelum, Chakwal, Khushab and Mianwali.
